Minister Liberman: UN Vote is a loss for the PalestiniansPublished on: November 29, 2012
Foreign Minister Liberman set off yesterday for Washington and New York. Today he will meet UN General Secretary Ban Ki Moon in New York.
Regarding today’s UN vote on the PA request to be recognized as a non-member observer state, FM Liberman said, “Although the Palestinians have a guaranteed majority for the vote, they’re the ones who will come out the losers in terms of the course of events on the ground. This course of action further distances both sides from each other and intensifies the dispute. ”
In Washington, FM Liberman will participate in the Saban Forum for Democracy. He will open the conference together with the United States Secretary of State, Hilary Clinton. FM Liberman will meet with the Secretary of Homeland Security, Janet Napolitano as well conducting other meetings.
