Public Security Minister Yitzhak Aharonovitch  said that "violence in an Israeli courtroom is unacceptable," while Knesset Constitution Committee chairman David Rotem termed it an assault against the judicial system and the state as a whole.  On Wednesday, a 52 year old Jerusalem resident with previous convictions for violent behavior entered the court room in which  Judge Beinish was presiding and threw his shoes at her.  He claimed that his actions were retribution for the decision in his own alimony case, with which Judge Beinish had nothing to do.
