(01-05-2007) PM Olmert Eulogizes the Late MK Yuri Stern
"I knew the late Yuri Stern almost from his first day in the country. Our public paths crossed many times since. He fought for the Land of Israel when he was in Russia and he did not stop fighting for it after immigrating to Israel. Yuri was a man of culture and letters with a deep awareness of Israel's heritage and of Jewish tradition. His uncompromising political views were alongside his extraordinary cultural and social sensitivity. Yuri fought his illness bravely and even though he knew his days were numbered, he never ceased fighting."
Prime Minister Olmert conveys his condolences to the Stern family.
