Deputy Foreign Minister Danny Ayalon met with the Deputy Foreign Minister of Panama Meliton Arrocha at the Foreign Ministry in Jerusalem. The two discussed political and security issues. Deputy Minister Ayalon thanked his Panamanian colleague for the resolute opposition of Panama to the Goldstone report and its vote against the report in the UN Security Council debate.

"I'm glad Panama voted with the moral majority at the UN. Goldstone's report is immoral and eliminates the right of a democratic state to protect its citizens, "said Ayalon.

The Deputy Minister Ayalon expressed much concern about Iranian penetration in Latin America. "Iran is a threat not only to Israel but to the whole world," he said.
