The Baker Reforms were supposed to obligate the Treasury to s a law reform already, which the Ministry of finance to establish education Council financial worry public education stages of his life. Six years since the Reforms, the Finance Minister has not allocated a budget for programming.

For this reason, the Lobby for the Advancement of Finance Education was established. We focuson finance education at specific points in people's life at which they have to deal with the State: school, military, University, wedding, etc. Each stage has requires different fiance knowledge.  We also want to help people make informed decisions on selecting the appropriate savings program, pension, buying a home, dealing with business management and more. Citizens are not fully aware of their rights and the tools available to them. It is the role of the State to make the information acessible and widely known.

The Lobby will work with other bodies such as the National Council of Economics, the Ministry of Education, the IDF, and the Bankof Israel.

MK Faina Kirschenbaum, chair of the Lobby: "We all use financial services. We all need to make decisions when choosing a mortgage or pension, manage a budget, but few of us have the right tools to make informed decisions. The Government urgently needs to promote the finance education project, that has been buried under the ruins of the Baker Committee. For the public to better understand the decisions it makes, it must be more aware of the failures of the system. "
