Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman called on the international community, Monday morning, to go from speaking to acting against the Iranian nuclear threat. Interviewed by Kol Yisrael government radio, the deputy prime minister said the Islamic Republic is not just an existential threat to Israel, explaining, "Iran is working to take control of Iraq and is interested in taking control and influencing Saudi Arabia, thereby dictating international energy policy."
Regarding talks with the Palestinian Authority (PA), the Yisrael Beiteinu party chairman said he was not pinning any hopes on the current round of talks, taking place in Amman, Jordan. He noted that the PA is "trying to avoid direct negotiations and prefers to take the issue to international institutions."
