City Mayor, 2 Regional Council Heads Join BeytenuPublished on: December 23, 2012
The wave of new members to Yisrael Beytenu continued last week. Two regional council heads joined Yisrael Beytenuy. Shmuel Rifman, head of the Ramat Negev Regional Council, Ilan Shohat, Mayor of Tzafat and Yair Farajun, head of the Hof Ashkelon Regional Council.
These three new members joined Yisrael Beytenu because, among other things, it was the only party that has always stood by the principle “the nationalistic camp must be strong.”
Mayor Ilan Shohat said, “I see Yisrael Beytenu as a very supportive party that has accompanied the Periphery through a period of development and pledged to do more.’
Party Chairman MK Avigdor Liberman said in response to the joining of these three esteemed new members that Yisrael Beytenu planned on receiving the Agriculture Ministry and the Housing Ministry and using these offices as a means of further developing the Periphery.
