Chairman of the Knesset Constitution, Law and Justice Committee MK David Rotem declared his intention to form a subcommittee to check contributions to Israeli NGOs from foreign governments and organizations.
MK Rotem said that such a subcommittee would not investigate specific organizations, but that a "thorough investigation of the system of receiving funds from foreign states is required." The move comes after it has come to light that Israeli organizations gave testimonies to the Goldstone report.
