Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman is scheduled to fly to Romania Wednesday, where he will meet with President Traian Basescu and other officials.

"Israel remembers that Romania is the only nation belonging to the former eastern bloc that has not cut ties with it since 1948, and appreciates its efforts to upgrade its relations with the European Union," Lieberman said.
