"If you will it, it is no dream" - the famous words of the founder of modern Zionism - Theodore Herzl - sum up the miraculous history of the rebirth of the State of Israel.  Dep. FM Danny Ayalon reminds us that we can never take Israel's existence for granted, that Israel's legitamacy is not only based on the Bible and the tragic events of the Holocaust, but its strongly rooted in international law.  Mr. Ayalon briefly traces the attempts of our enemies to destroy the Jewish State, through conventional wars,, terrorism, and now "lawfare".  Education is key to combating specious claims that Israel has no right to exist or commits warcrimes. Mr. Ayalon concludes by recalling Israel's tremendous contribution to medicine and technology and on a note of optimism for Israel's future.  Mr. Ayalon invites us all to be in Israel next Independence Day celebrating together.
