Speaking after Wednesday’s negotiation meeting with Likud, chief Israel Beytenu negotiator MK Stas Misezhinkov said, “We have asked Likud to give combat soldiers three years of free academic study upon their release from the army. “
MK Misezhinkov added that Israel Beytenu wanted to take the Likud proposal of one year free academic study for everyone who has served in the army or national service one step further. “By giving preferential treatment to combat unit soldiers, we send a message to the public about the importance of contributing to one’s country,” said Misezhinkov.
Tomorrow, the Beytenu negotiating team will meet again with Likud. MK Misezhinkov will focus on the goal of subduing Hamas and the budgetary apportionment toward the realization of that goal.
